
Aftercare Instructions
Proper aftercare is essential to ensure your tattoo heals well and maintains long-term quality. Please follow the instructions below.

Keep the initial bandage on for 2–4 hours unless your artist instructs, otherwise Do not re-bandage unless directed.

Wash hands before touching your tattoo. Gently wash the tattoo with lukewarm water and mild, fragrance-free soap. Do NOT scrub. Pat dry with a clean paper towel. Do NOT use cloth towels.

Apply a thin layer of tattoo aftercare ointment (e.g., A&D; ointment, Aquaphor) Do NOT apply petroleum jelly or thick creams. Keep application light to avoid suffocating the tattoo.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING HEALING: Minor redness, swelling, and oozing in the first 24–48 hours are normal. Light scabbing and peeling will occur after a few days. Do NOT pick, scratch, or peel the skin.

Clean the tattoo 2–3 times daily. Apply thin aftercare ointment as instructed. Keep the tattoo clean and moisturized. Wear loose, breathable clothing over the area.

No swimming, hot tubs, saunas for 2–3 weeks. Do NOT expose tattoo to direct sunlight. Do NOT apply alcohol, peroxide, or scented lotions. Do NOT shave over the tattoo until fully healed. Avoid heavy workouts that cause excessive sweating for the first 48 hours.

You may shower normally. Avoid soaking the tattoo (no baths).

After fully healed (4+ weeks), always use SPF 30+ sunscreen. Sun exposure can fade tattoos.

SIGNS OF INFECTION (SEEK MEDICAL CARE IF YOU NOTICE): Excessive redness spreading around the tattoo: Pus or strong odor. Fever or chills. Intense pain or heat around the area.
